ation of His Majesty's pleasure an Ordinance intituled:-

An Ordinance to amend the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank

Ordinance, 1866. No. 10 of 1922.

The customary report by the Attorney General

Through an oversight your despatch No. 31 of 23rd January, 1922, was not brought to the notice of the Attorney General prior to the writing of paragraph of his report but as everything in the custodian scheme depends on the approval of the Governor the ordinance would appear to be in order. It is noted that the Treasury agree that bullion may be less convenient than coin in the outport custodian scheme,

I forward a certificate under my hand as required by Article XXVII of the Royal Instructions dated

the 14th February, 1917.
